Friday, Sept. 29 - Drop-in Dinner

I started hosting drop-dinners in October 2022. The concept is adopted from Mia Birdsong's book, How We Show Up. It’s an invitation to drop by within a container of loose planning. As an introverted only child, I love having people over, but I also get a bit anxious with the idea of folks unexpectedly dropping by.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • It'll be casual. We will simply make more of whatever happens to be for dinner that night. It will be gluten-free, dairy-free, potato-free.

  • You don't have to bring anything, but you can. Potluck style is always appreciated. Salad, tortilla chips, bevs. Don’t let showing up empty-handed be the reason you don’t show up.

  • You don't have to be in a good mood. We’re all human with good days and bad.

  • There are no tricks up my sleeve. I will not have soul searching questions prepared. IFYKYK. The only thing I'm preparing is the food, which will be gf, df, pf.

  • Kids and dogs are welcome. Enzo will be here.

  • Last minute RSVPs and cancellations are fine. Even if you don't RSVP, you can show up anyway.. That is the point!

  • You can invite your spouse, but that’s it. If you're receiving this email it's because I have a relationship with you that I want to invest in. I'm not trying to do that with everyone or with your friend from out of town.

Excited to see you!
