Challenge

The Nike Flyknit Team was under pressure to innovate on materials, fit, and design to hit go-to-market goals. The team also needed to protect any IP and innovations as far ahead of rivals as possible.

 

We brought together product designers, the market innovation team and the legal team, about 35 people in total, whom had never met each other in-person before the workshop. I led rounds of concept generation based on known and unknown constraints. Attendees worked in pairs and small groups, culminating in a mock pitch contest for most desirable and viable concept.
